Don’t spill the water! That is the one and only rule. In this format, 1 liter of water is worth $100. Across a series of relentless trials of strength and stability, the amount of water saved by the winners of each stage is added to a growing jackpot, and the final amount is converted directly into a cash prize for the ultimate champion.
This survival-style competition pushes contestants through tough individual and team battles until only one survivor remains to claim the riches. Everyone has a chance to win big, but they must first conquer unique and intense challenges. For examples, they must endure the grueling “Hold the Water” by holding 10 liters of water above their heads, and cooperate in the 3-person team obstacle course “Carry the Water.” The intensity peaks with “Carry the Water on the Dekotora,” where contestants must stand on the back of a moving neon-lit Japanese art truck, clutching a massive tank and bracing against every jolt to keep their liquid gold from spilling. Throughout a series of challenges, sometimes former enemies join forces as allies, and finally, those who were once allies must face each other in the end.
